Arthur Busby, Violin

Nathaniel Cook, Cello

  • Violin

Arthur Busby grew up in Dallas, Texas and began studying violin at the age of eight. He is a graduate of Bryan Adams High School and Southern Methodist University, earning a degree in violin performance while studying with Arkady Fomin, and performing at the Aspen Music Festival. Arthur was featured as soloist with the All-American College Orchestra at Disney World in over thirty summer performances during his time at SMU, and performed with the likes of Mike Post, Tom Scott, Johnny Mann, and Richard Carpenter among others while serving as assistant concertmaster of that orchestra.

In the years since, Arthur has been actively performing and teaching throughout the Southwest, and has toured with the Phantom of the Opera, Ray Price, Andrea Bocelli, and Diana Ross among many others. He is a proud member of the Fort Smith Symphony, which recorded the Symphony #1 and #4 by Florence Price to worldwide acclaim, reaching No. 1 on the New York Times list of classical recordings, and just finished performing in All Rise by Wynton Marsalis with the composer in the Tulsa Symphony, in remembrance of the massacres one hundred years ago that week.

Arthur currently resides in Arlington Texas, and is the proud dad of Andrew, David, and Evelyn Jo.

  • Cello

Nathaniel Cook is native Texan, a sought after musician, known for their unique musicianship that spans a wide range of genres and styles.

While living in California Nathaniel found they had a knack for performing across multiple genres and began to explore that more fully by playing with rock bands, jazz ensembles, percussion ensembles, pop groups, and Indian classical music groups. Performing in a verity of concert halls such as, Bass Hall, AT&T Performing Arts Center, Segerstrom Center for the Arts, Windspear Opera House, and The House of Blues (Dallas TX, Santa Monica CA, & Irvine CA) to name a few.

Along with enjoying a vibrant career as soloist, they can also be heard in the recording studio playing on labels such as Sony, Warner, and Naxos.

Nathaniel has been playing the cello since the age of 9, and currently performs on an unmarked Italian Cello from 1785. They studied cello at Chapman University Conservatory of Music, under the tutelage of many teachers including Roger Lebow, Jacob Braun, Lazlo Mezzo and Lindsey Stortz.
